Project V: Colin V
For this project we were tasked with using photogrammetry to create a chess piece. My half of the class chose to model our pieces after members of Denison’s community. I chose to design the rook for the set. Dr. Moller, beloved Philosophy professor and Dean of First Year Students, was my subject as he is a powerful, subtle player in Denison’s ecosystem. I chose to give the figure a more textured, tactile surface in lieu of perfect accuracy. It’s nice to use chess pieces that feel interesting, too.
